The 10th Annual Wild & Scenic Red RiverFest will take place on 5/16 at Red River Gorge Kayaking (394 Sky Bridge Rd, Stanton, KY 40380). The family friendly event includes free live music all day, kids & adult activities, yoga, clean water workshops (including Watershed Watch Stream Sampling Certification training!), food & drink vendors and more! Fun environmental education programming is available at the event tent and you can win prizes for participating! This event is FREE thanks to our wonderful sponsors. See below for event schedule. Red RiverFest is a fun, family friendly event with FREE live music, vendors, presenters and activities ALL DAY.
Red RiverFest 2026 will no longer include a paddle. You can still paddle on the day of the event through Red River Gorge Kayaking’s website https://kayakthered.com/.
Camping will also be offered onsite at this year’s event! Registration is required. Bookings can be made at: https://kayakthered.com/campground/
Become a Kentucky Watershed Watch Sampler! In-person sampler training will be happening at Red RiverFest from 10:30am-12:30pm. Sign up HERE. Registration and an online pre-training are required. More information can be found on the Kentucky Watershed Watch website.
Kentucky Watershed Watch is a volunteer organization where citizens can sample streams in their areas. Their data is uploaded to an online database where results are stored and can be easily viewed. This information can be used to determine stream quality over time and to help narrow down which areas are of greatest concern!
