The Annual Wild & Scenic Red RiverFest on 5/16/25-5/17/25 will start on Friday 5/16 with a pre-party at Sky Bridge Station (live music). The main event will take place on 5/17 at our new location on Red River Gorge Kayaking (394 Sky Bridge Rd, Stanton, KY 40380) The family friendly event includes a 7.5-mile Fun Floats on the Red River, free live music all day, kids & adult activities, rock climbing wall, yoga, fun & education clean water workshops (including Watershed Watch Stream Sampling Certification training!), prizes, craft, food & drink vendors and more! Fun environmental education programming is available at the event tent and you can win prizes for participating! This event is FREE thanks to our wonderful sponsors. Registration is required for the paddle and does cost. There are rentals available or bring your own boat options. Paddle scholarships are available. See below for event schedule. Become a Kentucky Watershed Watch Sampler! In-person sampler training will be happening at Red RiverFest from 10:30am-12:30pm. Sign up HERE. Registration and an online pre-training are required. More information can be found on the Kentucky Watershed Watch website.
Kentucky Watershed Watch is a volunteer organization where citizens can sample streams in their areas. Their data is uploaded to an online database where results are stored and can be easily viewed. This information can be used to determine stream quality over time and to help narrow down which areas are of greatest concern!
